We are Alan and Ellen Ives, a full-time music evangelistic outreach sent from the Wyldewood Baptist Church of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. For over 20 years, we have ministered in churches across the United States, as well as in Canada and Mexico. Although the work of the ministry can vary greatly from church to church, our objective at each church is threefold:

1. To provide teaching and preaching in truth, as it is presented in the Word of God. Whether it be music seminars, revival meetings, Sunday services, classroom sessions, or nursing homes, our desire is for God to be glorified, and Christians to be uplifted and encouraged by the truths presented in the Scriptures.
2. To provide traditional, conservative music in the services we minister in. Besides vocal music, we bring a variety of instruments (usually about 2 dozen). Often, we sing and / or play with musicians in the church. Again, our desire is to glorify and magnify our heavenly Father and encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ.
3. To provide books, printed music, CD's and various other materials through the Concord & Harmony Bookstore, which we bring with us to each church. It is our desire for Christians to fill their lives and their homes with Christ-honoring materials.

We are opposed to compromise in music (and in our lives); "gospel rock", "contemporary Christian" and "pop" music are off-limits to us, as well as country-western, jazz and rock. We appreciate Scriptural songs written by those who read, know and love the Word of God. Our music is directed by this philosophy.

We have preached against rock and gospel rock, and have taught the principles of God's music from the Bible. Ellen and I know that without the Lord's help, we would yet bring shame to His name, and ruin our lives (John 15:5), so we depend completely on Him (Philippians 4:13) to help us continue in this ministry (Psalm 66:1-2).
